It’s not too hard to find a blog review about this particular specialty food in Da Nang (link here). Quang in Mi quang refers to the origin where the noodle comes from (Quang Nam, Da Nang). However, this unique food has several types, ranging from chicken, beef, snakehead fish.
This is a typical bowl of mi quang that you will eat if you have a chance to visit Da Nang. You should ask local friends if you have any so that they can recommend you a good place. Usually Da Nang people eat with a lot of vegetable and the rice cracker which is dipped with the soup till it gets a bit soggy. In order to get truly local experience of eating my quang, you must eat with the green chilli >.<
As there are many varieties of mi quang, the below photo is mi quang from my local neighborhood. What’s so special about this one? I have been eaten is since I was 8 years old (and now I’m 23 at the time writing this ^^). I can’t find other mi quang as good. The chicken is so soft and mouthwatering, and the super super spicy chilli sauce make it even more yummy… I always visit the place every time going back to Vietnam for holidays
At the junction Ong Ich Khiem Street and Cao Thang Street, there’s a small lane and the restaurant (Mi quang Dinh Tien Hoang) is right at the end
Price: 20,000-30,000VND (=1-1.5USD) per bowl
