South American Business Forum 2012 – ARGENTINA

To all college students out there, how are your experiences at university life? Do you just get up late in the morning and rush into classes (sometime, skipping them for another good 30mintues of sleep)? Have you ever thought of doing something worthwhile and memorable during your student life? Have you ever felt of you are wasting time?

Studying at university is the best moment of your life because you have so much free time, and literally, can do so many things according to your interests. I’d like to introduce you a chance to change your perspectives in life, to become a great leader of tomorrow who is aware of challenges for the world and eager to initiate the global collaboration. Why not starting that big objective by connecting with other great leaders of tomorrow. They are just like you, young and ambitious. They are just like you, who may have or soon to have a chance to get inspired by our current leaders of today through the conference in Argentina, named South American Business Forum (SABF)

Basically this is the conference that invite 100 outstanding undergraduate or graduate students to come to beautiful Buenos Aires in August to participate in the dialogues with current 40 leaders in business, political and academics areas. The conversations not just to inspire young leaders but also to share ideas and knowledge. It is the task for us as a young leader to figure out solutions for sustainable development. You already know that the earth is exhausting and we must do something about it, to save our future generations.

I myself participated SABF in 2010. After two years, the memories are still fresh in my minds because I never expected to meet so many great young leaders. They’re just like me, partyloving and outgoing, but also having a purpose in life, all together make the world a better place. One of initiatives that I did after the conference is to establish a strong overseas Vietnamese students at my university in Melbourne. I want to bring our unique culture to friends from other nationalities on campus and make them aware of it. I want our voice to be heard and we should have the right to do so. The more people are aware of, the more they tolerate. I believe that with the intercultural experiences that people have, they would tolerate each other and hence, no reason leading to wars or conflicts which we have been seeing all over the news and media. You could be thinking I’m too naive or perfectionist. I’m just simply a positivist person 🙂

There are much more details about the conference such as how to apply (you have to register and write a short essay to be selected), age requirement (born after 1st Jan 1986), etc. Please make sure to read it carefully.

  1. To whom it may concern,

What is the selection criteria primarily based upon?

Does other merits improve one’s chances of being selected, for example leadership positions, initiatives etc?

    Thanks

  2. Hi Kenny,

The selection is primarily based on the level of essay and profile of the applicants. Therefore, a good profile of leadership experiences and initiatives definitely give you an advantage compared to other applicants

    Hope this helps
